Orbiter Bridge Protocal is a platform that aims at decentralization while ensuring that the Gas cost of users in the cross-chain process is relatively low. On the path to decentralization, Orbiter Bridge Protocal, ZKP needs to be used to reduce the Gas fee in the evil arbitration process. The arbitration process for the Maker will reach a fully open state after the decentralized Orbiter bridge is officially launched.

The Orbiter Bridge Technical Yellow Book is available for more information on how the Orbiter Bridge works in a decentralized way.

Decentralization of ZKP

At present, the generation of ZKP consumes hardware resources. If the Maker node runs Prover on its own, it will bring certain server costs. By decentralizing ZK Prover Poll, letting the third-party node agent generate the proof work can greatly reduce the operational complexity of the Maker. However, decentralizing ZKP will also bring a series of economic model complexities and challenges.

  • How the node that publishes the ZK Proof task communicates with the agent Prover for task distribution?
  • - How does the agent Prover that accepts the task generate the correct ZK Proof data according to the specified requirements?

This Grant will cooperate with the ZKPool team to conduct in-depth exploration of decentralized ZKP solutions.

About ZKPool

ZKPool is a platform to connect Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) projects and ZKP provers. The platform (zkpool.io) has already been launched and is open to ZKP requestors and ZKP provers. Millions of proofs are generated on this platform.ZKPool aims to make ZKP flow in the digital world. ZKPool is built by Aoraki Labs, who has visions to build the software and hardware infrastructures for Ethereum layer 2 and ZKP ecosystem, and finally support the blockchain’s new computing paradigm.
